I live in South Africa and have academically immersed myself in understanding how AI (and Machine learning) works. I am hugely encouraged as I see that Canada has appointed a Minister of AI and Digital Innovation! I look forward to seeing how this Canadian ministry tackles AI Literacy, implementation, safety/privacy/security and the unlocking of game changing economic opportunities for the best human outcomes with this powerful technology.

Canada lacks privacy protection regarding user's data. As of today, anything can be collected—and kept. The question is why and what this information will be used for.

I have created an entire metasystem model that utilizes mystic maps, the Yuga cycles, various academic disciplines, and esoteric systems. I’m writing about this. imho the biggest blind spot in AI: human pain. If we don’t teach machines to truly see suffering, they’ll just keep repeating the harm.
